Happy Thanksgiving!

In the States, it is Thanksgiving week. I am thankful for a lot of things… family, freedom, and faith among them. I’m also thankful for creative people, like the artist who made the collage in today’s feature image. It’s made of used postage stamps! Find Kay Burrell’s work at her Etsy shop.

If you have the urge, jump in the comments and name something you are thankful for, and have a safe holiday!

This quarter I’m reading books by authors I follow online.

Currently reading: Reckless Rebellion by Carrie Dalby. A Southern Gothic family saga with a character I want to slap upside the head, oh Phoebe, Phoebe, Phoebe!

Up next: All Mine: A Book of Poems by Dave Doran. Part memoir, part coal mining history, should be interesting!

  1. Hi Priscilla, I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. We don’t celebrate it here but we do have Black Friday and we bought a new giant casserole dish. Nothing to do with giving thanks other than I will use it to make Christmas dinner for our early family celebration and family is something I am very grateful for.

  2. Sorry for the late reply. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. Our is in October and for that reason, American Thanksgiving always takes me a bit by surprise. I’m grateful to be alive and well, and most of all for my sons, but this time I’ll mention something else – I’m thankful for working for a public library and being surrounded by books.
